Hi, I´m Val, a teacher and artist living on the island of Ibiza.

I have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Communication from Seattle-Pacific University, a TESOL certification, and a Diploma in Graphic Design & Illustration from Arte Neo,  Madrid.

Here's a bit about my background:
    
     In my twenties, I split my time working for private banks and collaborating with NGOs in Africa and India, where I conducted art workshops, and designed greeting cards. I also volunteered as an English teacher in Kenya and in China.
 
I now live on a farmhouse, in a pine tree forest where my family and I look for new ways to grow anything from trees to veggies despite having limited access to water.     


    
Besides writing and illustrating, I teach French, English and Art at local schools. I am also a mom of three, and a chicken enthusiast. This keeps me busy.
